Lead Generation (DM Outreach)
Some buyers never come back to the thread. Lead Generation lets you reach the highest-intent people in your market 1:1 by direct message, safely, with a flow designed to start conversations instead of getting you flagged as spam.
The 2-step flow (consent-gated)
Cold DMs that pitch a product get reported as spam. Replyt avoids that with a two-step approach:
- Step 1: Opener (no link). A short, personalized message that references their post and offers a genuine, useful insight. It does not pitch, name a product, or include a link. The only goal is to start a real conversation.
- Step 2: Follow-up (with link). Only after they reply, you send a follow-up that responds to what they said and shares your link. By then the link is welcome, not spam.
The lead pipeline
Leads move through a funnel on the Leads page. Each tab is a stage:
- Candidates: high-intent people Replyt flags from your conversations, ready for outreach.
- Queue: openers you queued for the Chrome Extension to auto-send.
- In progress: openers you have sent, sorted hottest first (replied and followed-up float to the top).
- Visited: leads who clicked the link you shared. They move here automatically, proof your DMs are driving real traffic.
- Converted: leads you mark converted, or who become a paying Stripe customer (auto-detected by email).
You can remove any lead from any tab with the ร on its card. It is hidden from view and kept out of the way, without losing attribution data.
Sending an opener
- Pick an AI Voice, then draft an opener for a candidate (or auto-draft several at once).
- Click Open DM in Reddit: Replyt opens Reddit's compose window with the opener ready. You review and send. The lead is marked Sent.
- When they reply, hit Yes, got a reply and draft the follow-up with your link.
- Prefer to batch? Queue for auto-send hands the openers to the Chrome Extension, which sends them paced and hands-free.
Account safety (so you never get banned)
Reddit flags accounts that move too fast. A banned account is the worst outcome, so safety is enforced, not optional:
- Daily cap. Up to 10 DMs per day. Once you hit it, the send button locks and the auto-send queue refuses to start until tomorrow.
- Cooldown between sends. A 5-minute minimum gap between manual DMs. The button shows a live countdown so you never fire in bursts (the #1 cause of spam bans).
- Burst warning. If you send 4 or more DMs in an hour, Replyt warns you to slow down.
- Value-first openers. No pitch in the first message, which is what gets cold DMs reported.
- Extension hard-stop. The auto-send paces DMs 5 minutes apart and stops at your remaining daily cap, so a queue can never blow past the limit.
Attribution
The follow-up link is tracked. When a lead clicks it, they move to the Visited tab. If they later sign up and become a paying customer, Replyt matches them by email and moves them to Converted, closing the loop from a Reddit post to revenue. See Pixel & Attribution.
